Developmental Delay

Although we know that children will develop at their own pace, if you are concerned about your child’s developmental milestones in any way, a developmental assessment may be helpful.

Early Development Assessment

An Early Development Assessment is a comprehensive developmental assessment evaluating your child’s motor, cognitive, language, social, and emotional development. These assessments are instrumental in identifying any developmental delays and areas where your child may need additional support.

  • A 45-minute Report Unpacking session

Cognitive Assessment

A cognitive assessment is used to identify overall high or low cognitive functioning, intellectual disability, or to identify specific cognitive strengths or weaknesses. This assessment are often used by schools and organisations to determine if a child qualifies for additional support. It can also help parents to advocate for their child at school and may help them access different services.

Important Notes:

  • Occasionally it may be necessary for additional assessments to be administered depending on the outcome of initial testing (e.g. an Adaptive Behaviour assessment may be used to screen for an Intellectual Disability depending on the results of the cognitive testing). Additional testing items are an additional cost and your assessor will seek your permission before they are administered.
